Its Fit and its Sweet

Years ago, we have an influenced on macrobiotic diet, we become a bit conscious of our health and diet that we have decided to do away with foods like milk, processed food drinks, canned foods.  Although we have some violations we dramatically reduced it in our diet and  have more vegetables, fruits and fish.

I substituted milk with organic unpolished rice as supplement for 4 four of my kids.  It was both healthy, economical and on my part I never worry of indigestion, asthma and lactose intolerance. It was totally liberating for a mom like me to know this, actually this isnt new coz I remembered  when i was still small,,,in the neighborhood I would hear them say " tinimba" its rice milk ..that is being used for babies as supplementary food replacing the formula milk.  I heard my lola would say " pampakusog lawas" sa aki.  I am proud to say  that I did gave my kids same but its with  organic rice where I would grind it and cooked it and place it in a thermo with a little red sugar to taste.  My kids ....welll my first consolation is that they dont have asthma, and I never worry coz they are eating /drinking rice  ( organic red rice is far more superior and healthier than the milled white rice)

This year is another milestone, we embraced health and wellness through our shop Fit& Sweet Wellness Shop.  We started promoting wellness through natural juicing and theraphies.  The challenge is to break the mainstream..because I realized health and wellness is cultural.  People adopted many unhealthy lifestyles influenced by so much information available in tri media that is feed in our consciousness day by day. Promoting natural alternative  medicine is a big challenge, advocating for a healthy lifestyle requires an understanding of the cause of illness.

This is a stage of learning too on  my part..the journey will be long..it will be hard but in the end I am sure that once you know that your intention comes from the heart, you will never be wrong.
